Christian Whitehead's original vision for the Sonic CD 2011 remake included a new Round called Desert Dazzle that would fill the gap between Round 1 (Palmtree Panic) and Round 3 (Collision Chaos) instead of a zone based on the cut R2 from the original version of Sonic CD. Desert Dazzle ended up being scrapped and later turned into Mirage Saloon in Sonic Mania. Desert Dazzle's files appeared hidden in the data of the original 2011 Retro Engine release of CD, but were removed quickly after (and later added back in the Forever versions for whatever reason). Desert Dazzle's files now appear in Sonic Origins, this time being included in the game configuration file as an actual level next to the mission stages. I added the music just for this video, which is the D.A. Garden music that was actually the present of the original R2. The stage in-game tries to load this music, but the Hedgehog Engine 2 integration does not recognize it.
