Well, Fujifilm finally aknowledge the AF issue on wideangles and ultra wideangles when stopped down and using the single point AF.
The latest firmware for the X-T5 (but also X-H2/X-H2s/X-S20) mention a specific fix for this issue.
This is a quick test using the XF10-24f4 Mk1 at 24mm f8.
I must say that at 24mm the issue is almost solved but at 10mm, even if is way better than before, sometimes the focus still jumps a little bit.
With the new XF23f1.4 LM WR at f8, the hit rate is higher than before, "only" 3 shots slightly OOF, at least i didn't encounter any completly OOF image.
By the way, this is a good improvement for sure but i hope Fujifilm will still improve the Single AF more.
