Surfer Saves Swimmer - FULL STORY
The Jersey shore is a great place to spend Labor Day weekend! However, when two major Hurricanes are off the coast, it can produce dangerous swimming conditions.
I was Surfing with my daughter on my TANDM SURF AIR BODYBOARD when I noticed some swimmers in distress. I waved for the lifeguards to help and jumped into action. The TANDM BODYBOARD is not designed to be a life saving device... but it sure worked today. Happy to be in the right place at the right time! I went to LBI today to film a video for Tandm Surf. Ended up helping someone instead.
I’m thankful that Gabriel is ok. This week has been extremely taxing on me mentally. Phone calls every hour of the day, interview after interview, email after email. I felt that it was my duty to tell the story to as many people that would listen. I hope this video can help others understand the dangers of rip currents and teach people about water safety. I didn’t ask for the attention that I got, and I had no idea it would turn into what it did-I was just trying to do the right thing. I appreciate everyone reaching out, it truly means the world to me. Thank you.
Big shout out to @surfinmoose9682 and the LBI Lifeguards who risk their lives daily so others can stay safe at the beach. Those guys are the real heroes. I simply got a taste of what they do on a daily basis.
