2020 saw Yusuf / Cat Stevens release Tea for the Tillerman², a re-imagining of his seminal album 50 years after its release in 1970. As with the original, TFTT2 closes with the title track, "Tea For The Tillerman', a short song that is as sweet as the Tillerman takes his beloved tea. For a fleeting moment we are fully immersed in the Tillerman's imaginative world of symbolism and metaphor. It's as if the whole album has been condensed into around one marvellous minute. And before you know it, it's over and we, along with the children in the song, are left dreaming of "that happy day"!
