Watch in 1080p fullscreen on a display with 1080p or higher resolution!
Downscaling will make the video look very poor, which is the reason why CRT emulation - and scanlines specifically - are usually a bad idea for digital recordings, at least until 4K and higher resolutions become commonplace.
Original video was recorded from an RGB-modded NES at 256x240, using a Datapath VisionRGB-E1S capture card and lossless compression. CRT emulation and scaling was done with AviSynth+ plugin "crt_display", which was fed as input to VirtualDub for final cropping and encoding.
Settings for the CRT emulation filter were adjusted to replicate the look of a Sony Trinitron 29" consumer television (KV-29X1E) as closely as possible.
