✨ Sometimes, we find ourselves seeking comfort in external things when, in reality, we yearn for something deeper. Food can provide momentary pleasure, but it cannot heal the emotional wounds we carry from childhood.
This can also lead us to extremes, such as overeating due to anxiety, or not eating at all, repeating a cycle of self-destruction over and over, as nothing seems to fill the void.
To change these tendencies, we must acknowledge our emptiness, replace binge eating with habits that give us the same level of pleasure, and work on our self-understanding; knowing that we are perfect just as we are.
Nataly Marcus, a health professional, shares her experiences with eating disorders and explains the relationship between our emotions and our diet.
