Dad's Army - Time On My Hands - Part two
Part 2. Series 5, episode 13. The platoon are quickly alerted to a german pilot who has bailed out of his plane and become tangled on the town hall clock. They manage to get up using a ladder rigged up by the ARP, however Jone's idea to rescue the pilot ends in a crashing defeat for the ladder - the only way back down.
