Homemade Electric Bike with Custom 72V Battery Goes 75MPH | 14,000W
A 75 MPH DIY Electric Bike! I built a custom 37Ah 18s Li-Ion battery with Metzev batteries (https://metzev.com/), capable of outputting over 300A. I am using a Sabvoton72150 speed controller and a QS V3 3.5T 5000W hub motor, which can peak up to around 14,000W. The mountain bike has 29" wheels, which allows for such insane speeds. I haven't even topped out the 4th power level while riding and hit 65 lol. That is the fastest I have ridden on it, but when doing static tests, it reaches 74.9MPH. It's terrifying. Don't try this at home!
