El Colonial Hotel | Paranormal Investigation | Brownsville, Texas
El Colonial was founded in 1925, about 60 years after the Civil War. It is nestled at 1147 E Levee St, Brownsville, TX 78520, and commonly visited by historians, paranormal explores, and tourists from all over the RGV. In the mid 19th century, Confederates chased Unionist out of Brownsville when Texas succeeded in February 1861. Unionists fled across the Rio Grande River into Matamoros where they formed new alliances who aided them in fighting against the Confederate forces in Texas. Knowing this, I imagined that there should be a lot of residual paranormal activity residing in the area. Enjoy the video!
