In this drawing demonstration, I draw a bird using colored pencils. I concentrate mainly on blending the colors through light layers of a variety of colors, which is a technique called Glazing. Using complementary colors in the shadows, and working up the drawing all together, gives the drawing a unified and textured look. This also prevents "wax bloom" which is when the colors get a waxy coating. The drawing is done on a book page to give it an interesting background.
