The LIGOL apple tree is a late-winter variety. The tree is medium-sized, with a broadly pyramidal, moderately dense crown. It has sufficient winter hardiness. The fruits are large (weight 200–300 g, maximum 400 g), medium uniform, round-conical, with a ribbed top. The base color is greenish-yellow, with a rich, fuzzy, crimson blush covering almost the entire surface. The flesh is creamy, dense, fine-grained, juicy, and aromatic, with an excellent sweet-and-sour flavor. The fruit is rated 5.0 for attractiveness and 4.8 for flavor. Harvesting maturity occurs in the first half of October. The fruit can be stored in a refrigerator for up to 7-8 months.
