How to avoid lycra breaks?
To save lycra it should be started from GGT department itself, some change in facing and crotch area and some change in sewing department in floor.
First, understand that lycra breaks are always the most common problem with super stretchy fabrics.
The lycra on the facing breaks because it is a single layer part unless it is doubled especially the swing margin then the facing cannot be protected from the lycra break.
Finish the inside of the crotch as clean as it looks from the outside, meaning no overlock stitching should be visible.
GGT should have a seam margin of 1.5 cm to protect the outseam and inseam from lycra breaks and in addition to the safety stitching, an extra lock stitch should be applied to prevent further lycra breaks. could
Remember to take special care of the needle and RPM while sewing.
While washing this garment in the washing machine, ensure that the recipe that was used during the sampling wash is the same recipe as the production wash. And another thing to consider is that super stretch fabric should be washed in cold water while washing, not hot water.
