We have returned three bronze sculptures from our Asian collection to the Kingdom of Cambodia.
The works of art repatriated, Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Padmapani, Bodhisattva Vajrapani and Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara Padmapani, are all connected to the late art collector and dealer Douglas Latchford.
The repatriation is a result of a decades-long collaboration between the National Gallery and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts in Cambodia.
The sculptures will remain at the National Gallery while the Cambodian Government prepares their new home in the kingdom’s capital.
