This weekend did Aurum Vale dungeon for two friends so they can meet the new requirements to unlock some of the level 50 stuff. AV is a level 47-49 dungeon that wasn't required for anything before. It's a dumb and annoying place and this will probably be the one and only time I play in it.
The first boss is pretty simple except it has an aoe that poisons everyone but the poison can only be cured by eating one of the fruits in the area which are on a fixed respawn rate. So you need to wait until at least 2 stacks of the poison before eating the fruit otherwise it won't be up when you need it. I don't know why everyone was taking so much damage to drain healers MP if there was some AoE not being avoided or not.
The second boss was interesting because it has a bunch of attacks that have no indicator where they are going to hit so you need to be watching for it's casting bar to be able to get out of the way in time. We ended up dying a couple times before everyone figured out what to do. I found out the hard way that you have to be to the side or behind to really avoid the eye lasers that you have to run close to.
The last boss is like the first one in that it does an AoE attack that stacks and needs to be cured by eating the fruit. This time the fruit takes longer to respawn so you have to wait until 3 stacks or so before you should eat the fruit. It looks like the attack does more damage with the more stacks that you have on you. Through trial and error I found it would instant kill me on the 6th stack. It also spawns egg fruit things that need to be killed before they spawn into adds so I was trying to AoE those down. We ended up losing one time to it before figuring out exactly what had to be done, which is why I found out how many stacks of burn I can take before being instant killed. Couldn't find any fruit up.
THERE WAS NOTHING I COULD DO.
Overall this dungeon is dumb and I'd rather do pretty much anything instead of having to play it again.
