Method 1: Clear a Chat (Best for Hiding)
Open Snapchat and go to the Chat screen.
Press and hold the conversation you want to hide.
Tap “More” (three dots) or “Chat Settings”.
Select “Clear Conversation”.
Confirm by tapping “Yes”. This removes the chat history from your view, but the conversation will still appear in your list until you get a new message.
Method 2: Delete a Conversation (Removes Entirely)
Swipe right on the conversation you want to hide.
Tap the “Delete” button (trash can icon).
This removes the chat from your list entirely. It will only reappear if the person sends you a new message.
Method 3: Auto-Delete Chats (Privacy Settings)
Tap your Profile/Bitmoji icon in the top-left.
Tap the Settings (gear) icon.
Go to “Privacy Controls” “Delete Chats”.
Choose “After 24 Hours” to automatically clear all chats every day.
