I have had a lot of comment on my windows 7 video asking if data will be lost. This video shows you how to keep all of your files and documents.
INSTALLED PROGRAMS ARE NOT KEPT INSTALLED
Your windows.old folder will be located on the root of your drive
For example C:/windows.old
If you want to format your drive - delete all of the data - you can go into computer management. Or if you have got Windows 7 on disc you have the option to format before you install
