Found a Baby Deer! Does He Need Help? 🦌
Met my neighbor, driving up the other way. He explained to me that it is normal for the mother to separate from the baby deer during stress or perceived threat.
The fawn is supposed to lie down in the grass and the mother will come back for it when it’s safe. So he told me not to worry about where the baby goes, the mother will find her later. Whew! 😰
This is the logging road that leads to the Singing Horse Ranch. So far I have encountered black bear, grizzly bear, elk, deer, coyote, grouse, rabbit, and chipmunk on this road. My husband can’t stand this road and wishes we had another access to the property.
But for me, it is a peaceful, beautiful passage into paradise.
