Turkey Hunt Gone Wrong - Red Dot Disaster
Turkey hunting can be challenging and difficult. We as turkey hunters spend countless hour getting in the right spot, at the right time and with a gobbler that will cooperate. It's never fun when all the conditions of a turkey hunt comes together only to be failed by equipment. On the turkey Billy has everything come together perfectly, except for a dead Battery. After turning on the red dot at the beginning of the hunt the battery dies just before the gobbler steps into range. A fresh battery was put in the red dot before the beginning of the spring turkey season. Its not clear if the battery was faulty, low on juice when it was put in or just something crazy happened. The sight, a Vortex Venom, is an amazing red dot and its not the fault of the sight itself because after replacing with a new battery it functioned perfectly. #turkeyhunting #gobbler #reddotfailure #hunting #turkey #turkeyseason2025
