I've been using this mouse as my main gaming mouse for over 6 months so hopefully I can provide so good insight. In this review of the BenQ Zowie S1-C I will show how well it's held up from 6 months of heavy usage and go over some of my general thoughts on the S1 shape.
Zowie has long been the kings of making great mouse shapes specifically for esports. However they've unfortunately fell short on many occasions at keeping up with the new industry trends and innovations. The refreshed Zowie C series mice are looking to change that. And while wireless mice are still not available from zowie this remastered mouse lineup is a huge step in the right direction. The Zowie S1 shape has always been a personal favorite of mine ever since I first tried it but I've been hesitant to use it over other lighter, and in some cases wireless, gaming mice. So when I heard that zowie reduced the weight of the S1 by 12 grams I was really excited. A lightweight version of the S1 has been on my wish list so long because while we've seen other companies make ultralight clones of the S2 there has yet to be an ultralight of the S1. The advertised weight of the S1-C is 72 grams. Along with this reduced weight Zowie has also updated their cables to come with flexible paracord-like cables. Zowie has also updated the mouse sensor to a PixArt PMW 3630. This is easily my current favorite ambidextrous mouse from zowie but I have yet to try them all.
