Severely Brain Injured by a Prescribed Medication
Elizabeth was a typically developing child until she started convulsing one night and went into a weeks long coma. Her parents believe this was caused by a medication that was prescribed to her for asthma. This resulted in a severe brain injury which left only a sliver of her cerebral cortex unaffected. Elizabeth's family wants others to know that even if their situation is unique, they are still a loving and caring family.
