The Concerto for Two Violins, Strings and Continuo in D minor, BWV 1043, also known as the Double Violin Concerto, is perhaps one of the most famous works by J. S. Bach and considered among the best examples of the work of the late Baroque period. [(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concert...)] Bach may have written it between 1717 and 1723 when he was the Kapellmeister at the court of Anhalt-Köthen, Germany, though the work's performance materials for the Ordinaire Concerten that Bach ran as the Director of the Collegium Musicum in Leipzig are dated c. 1730-31.
Valentina Tirmenstein [( / valentina-ti.. )] has started her education at School for musically gifted children in Ćuprija in the class of professor Ljubivoje Nikolić. After that she enrolled in the Secondary music school Mokranjac in the same professor’s class. During her education she has been awarded numerous prizes on republic and federal level at competitions in Sarajevo, Zagreb, etc. Having completed secondary school, she started her studies at the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, in the class of professor Pavel Vernjikov. During the studies she had continual consultations with professor Abraham Stern at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Kiev. She graduated in the class of professor Maja Jokanović in Belgrade.
She is one of the founders of the Amorosso piano trio, as well as the chamber baroque ensemble Camerata di musica, where she also performes as a soloist. Being a versatile and complete musician, she founded a jazz quartet, guided by the style and sound of Stephan Grapelli. During all these years, Valentina Tirmenstein has had a great number of performances in the country and abroad.
