Use your eyes/ears, Tap dance with your hands, in your socks, whatever!
This is an important concept for us as dancers, but for us as TEACHERS, there's something more at stake.
You want to be able to do a few things here:
✅ Be able to understand & execute these exercises yourself. (If you don't fully understand it, no worries - just keep workin' ❤️)
✅ Be able to use these ideas to create fresh choreography, and determine what level of class might be READY for that choreography.
🤔 How do these variations align with the different levels of your curriculum/teaching goals/lesson plans?
✅ Have WAYS of teaching these concepts to the right level of class, in a way that the AVERAGE student in that class can understand.
Demonstration can reach some students, but leaves out others with different learning styles, or those who haven't yet been taught HOW to learn more easily from instruction (they CAN learn faster!)
Words like "version 2 is faster", or "this one is slower", or even "Version 3 is 'syncopated'" may leave some students with blank faces 😬 and leave you with a headache if they don't get it 😩

The workshop is called "Create Fresh Tap Choreography that Inspires You & Your Students...without Sacrificing your Teaching Goals!"
