glTF 2 0 Extensions in MPEG and 3GPP - Real time exchange for 3D Experiences
glTF2.0 provides a widely-deployed, solid and efficient baseline for exchangeable and interoperable scene descriptions toward resource constrained devices such as see-through HMD and glasses. However, in the main specification of glTF gaps had been identified related to the integration of real-time media such as 2D and 3D video assets, audio or haptics. The presentation will provide an overview of the developed extensions, use cases and applications, initial implementations as well the application for usage in mobile delivery in context of 3GPP-defined specifications.
