Adding Vulkan to Pixar's Hydra Storm Renderer
Pixar's OpenUSD is more than a file format; it's an extensible framework of open-source libraries, tools, and plugins, including the Hydra rendering framework and the Storm renderer. This talk covered the recent addition of a Vulkan back end for Storm, developed collaboratively by Pixar, Autodesk, and Adobe, to enhance performance on both high-end workstations and mobile Android devices.
