quick share of my 3 best filming practices when it comes to filming product-focused videos for UGC content 📱
1. USE NATURAL LIGHTING
natural is better than artificial lighting any day! find a window in your home that produces the best lighting and film your products with a clean background
2. FILM MULTIPLE ANGLES
get creative with filming in multiple angles, multiple takes, moving your camera around! all around it’s going to create an opportunity to chop up multiple clips to make your videos more interesting versus having one steady shot for the entire video!
3. USE PROPS
purchase some backdrops, swatching knives, and even disco balls for fun reflections in the background! you can find some very affordable props on Amazon (my storefront has some of my fav props 😉)
4. BONUS: KEN BURNS IN EDITING
Ken Burns is a tool in editing software that allows you to move a clip around frame-by-frame whether you want to zoom in on your shot or move an element around in the video. this is a great skill to learn in your editing software to spice up your video 🔥
