Bryce on Lessons from the War Chapters | Part 4 | Mistake #1
When the Lamanites, directed by Amalickiah, finally attack the Nephites, it was a slaughter. 1000 Lamanites were killed and not a single Nephite. That was the weakest Nephite city and it was a slaughter for the Lamanites. Where could the Lamanites possibly go and succeed? The war should have been over after that first battle.
Unfortunately, the Nephites make two mistakes that opened the door for the Lamanites. They are often the same mistakes that we make today that give Satan power over us. And once we lose possession of a fortified city — like our virtue — it will cost us dearly to get it back. To be victorious in the war against Lucifer, we must learn from the Nephites and avoid these two mistakes.
