It's the start of the season here in BC and conditions are extremely variable! There are sweet stashes of pow and good groomers. However, some spots are a little sketchy. Patches on the run can be thin and icy. And, off-piste there are some hazards to be aware of like trees, rocks and under snow branches.
Tips for early-season snowboarding
Look ahead and plan your line
Try to think at least 2-3 turns in advanced
Keep your legs and lower joints loose and adaptable
If you are hitting drops and jumps that you usually do during the season, scope out the landing first before you hit it to check that there are no early-season hazards below
