If you never worked for a public cloud provider company, you probably think these clouds are proprietary, secret, magic black boxes, which provides *aaS in return of your credit card details. Some open-source projects are evident to be used in these clouds, like Linux and Kubernetes. However, there is much more. The talk demystifies some network related cases, where the use of open software is not that expected. We will learn about production grade HA solutions, load balancing, and more.
Gergo spent a decade in the telecommunications industry where he worked on developing carrier grade cloud infrastructures, including Kubernetes. With that he joined IBM to work on IBM Kubernetes Service networking. Gergo had a bunch of talks on Hungarian meetups about both corporate and open-source projects. Once he contributed one character to the Linux kernel. :-)
