Path of Exile 3.7 Crafting Guide - How to craft gear for ED build Part 1 - BEST BOW
Welcome to the new crafting guide, how to craft the best bow for Essence Drain, Bane, Soulrend and similar Builds.
Most important mods are +1 to level of socketed gems, +1 to level of socketed intelligence gems, +1 to level of socketed Strenght Gems and + Mastercraft mod + 2 to level of socketed support gems. These four mods in combination with empower level 4, will increase the level of essence drain for 9 levels, if you use level 21, your skill gem will be level 30.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: IGN MingLocust told me about 4 Fossil crafting method for this bow. Fossils we need to use are: Faceted, Corroded, Jagged and Metallic. I think this method has a better chance to hit both +1str and +1 int gems. I will try again to craft and will post results.
Last two mods are can have multiple crafted modifiers and 36-40% non-ailment chaos damage over time multiplier.
Now the question is how much damage you will get with this bow compared with the standard bow. In my life version of the build, I would get 500k more DPS, and in my low life version of the build, this bow would bring 1 Mill more DPS. Even bow with just +1 to str or 1 to int gems, would bring nice damage boost.
In case you don't have open prefix or suffix, you will need to use a lucky orb of annulment or try your luck with Beastcrafting.
Besides trade, you can get faceted fossils inside the mine or if you are lucky, by using Fossilised incubators.
So far, I think I used 15 faceted fossils without luck to get the best bow. As you can see, this crafting can be really expensive as each faceted fossil cost about 2 exalted orbs.
