Difference between PLM and PDM

It is important to not confuse PLM with PDM. #productdatamanagement is primarily concerned with development steps of a product. This includes conception, specification, design and realization marked by different versions.
In contrast, #productlifecyclemanagement is much more comprehensive and includes other process components as part of its range of functions.
