Make the carrier a comfortable, safe space at home; leave it open for your cat to explore with their favorite blanket and treats inside.
Gradually introduce periods where your cat is inside with the door closed.
Practice carrying them around the house, then take short car trips.
Use a blanket with their scent (pheromones) for reassurance.
