Blue Whale named "Delta" DANA POINT
DANA WHARF WHALE WATCHING in DANA POINT, CA- BLUE WHALE ALERT sighting of the Blue Whale known as DELTA, found while passengers look for Gray Whales common off Dana Point in April. Captain Todd Mansur suddenly spotted this beautiful Blue Whale. She is a full grown female spotted about 2.5 miles out of the Dana Point Harbor, also spotted with a Fin whale as well. This whale known as DELTA because of her huge Wing Span and curved up edges has been seen off Dana Point before and we hope to continue to see her. This is an early arrival for a Blue Whale, the last Blue we spotted was on February 25th. If this is any indication of what this summer's sightings hold we will be in for a great treat!
