In Microsoft Excel, a user can change the properties of text in any cell, including font type, size, color, and make it bold, italic, or underlined. A user can also change the color of a cell's background and the border around a cell. The following picture is a graphic illustration of the font and cell format bar in Excel with a description of each option.
So friends in this today's video will be going to learn how we can do formatting the data in Excel and in this section we will talk about Font block or Group which comes under Home Tab which provides access to all the Characters Formatting commands.

When you enter data in a worksheet, Excel automatically uses the Calibri font style in size11 but if you prefer a different font style or size, you can learn in this video.
1) Font - Drop-Down. Provides a list of all the available fonts (based on your current printer selection).
2) Font Size - Drop-Down. Lets you adjust the character size (based on your current printer selection).
3) Increase Font Size - Increases the font size of the current selection to the next larger size in the Font Size box.
4) Decrease Font Size - Decreases the font size of the current selection to the next smaller size in the Font Size box.
5) Bold - (Ctrl + B). Toggles bold on the current selection.
6) Italic - (Ctrl + I). Toggles italics on the current selection.
7) Underline - (Ctrl + U). Button with Drop-Down. The button toggles bold on the current selection. The drop-down contains the commands: Underline and Double Underline.
8) Borders - Button with Drop-Down. The button applies a border to the current selection. The drop-down contains the commands: Bottom, Top, Left, Right, No, All, Outside, Thick Box, Bottom Double, Thick Bottom, Top and Bottom, Top and Thick Bottom, Top and Double Bottom, Draw Border, Draw Border Grid, Erase Border, Line Color, Line Style and More Borders.
9) Fill Color - Button with Drop-Down. The button applies a color to the background of the current selection. The drop-down contains the commands: Theme Colors, Standard Colors, No Fill, and More Colors.
10) Font Color - Button with Drop-Down. The button changes the color of the font of the current selection. The drop-down contains the commands: Automatic, Theme Colors, Standard Colors, and More Colors.
