Bacterial conjugation is a process of the horizontal gene transfer method, by the bacterium that has conjugative plasmid or fertility plasmid into a bacterium that doesn’t. It will transfer the F plasmid along with some other genes, which sometimes gives special abilities to bacteria to survive in adverse conditions.
