Face your fears EVERYDAY for DESIGNERS
About a year ago I took part in a Design competition to design the labels for Malta Guinness 30th Anniversary Label, little did I know how that would affect my Design career.
Firstly I do not like to participate in competition because it makes me feel inferior or less than. Fear creeps in and it confirms my own insecurities and imposter syndrome.
However, this time around I decided to face my fear and take this opportunity to do what I can no matter what happens.
I placed third in the competition, made loads of friends and connections and even landed some more gigs during and after the competition. Who knew my biggest fear could be the beginning of my biggest breakthrough?
