Sacred Path 2015
Every year Douglass College of Rutgers University holds a bridging ceremony. The point of this specific ceremony is to celebrate the end of the year and also to officially welcome the freshman class. Each class receives a charm. The seniors get a graduation cap, juniors get a key, sophomores get a clock, and freshman get a lantern. After each class receives their pin, the upperclassmen walk the freshman down the sacred path.
This is a sweet event in which all of the Douglass women come together to celebrate all of their hard work at the end of the semester. This event means that all that is left of the year is final exams. While I am sad to end my first year at Rutgers, I am very excited to be just another week closer to studying abroad in Senegal!
