Creating an Android Application in Kotlin and running with Genymotion Emulator. I recommending using Genymotion or real device when testing your app in Android Studio since the default emulator is very slow at consuming a lot of memory. Why Kotlin not Java? Google officially announced that Kotlin is the default language. I like Kotlin's simplicity yet powerful language with minimal code.
