Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP)
When we block TCP port 143, we are blocking Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). IMAP uses this port for client-server communication and is commonly used for webmail services.
Blocking this port can prevent IMAP users from receiving emails even though they are configured for port 143.
