Usher Syndrome Society hosted Steven McCoy, the first recognized black deafblind journalist and Rebecca Alexander, an award winning author, psychotherapist, and extreme athlete who is almost completely blind and deaf. Moderator for the evening Media personality and founder of DC Consulting Danita Chantel.
The two speakers discussed the many facets of living with Usher syndrome and facing an uncertain future. Usher syndrome (USH) is the most common genetic cause of combined deafness and blindness.
