Author Jamie Sumner’s books feature kids with differing abilities: physical, neurodivergent and mental health related. She approaches these topics with sensitivity and experience. She is the mom of a son with cerebral palsy. On this edition of Meet the Author, Jamie Sumner talks about her books: Roll with It, Time to Roll (sequel), Summer of June, Tune It Out and One Kid’s Trash. Students from South County Middle School participate in the thoughtful discussion. A roll-in explaining what neurodiversity means, rounds out the show.
