Star Trucker is made on Unity. Dx11 version is launched by default. You can add -force-d3d12 to the launch option in Steam to run the dx12 version. But it works worse and is less stable than dx11. Star Trucker doesn't use CPU and GPU resources efficiently, as you can see from my video. The only advice I can give at the moment is to disable SMT for Ryzen processors. In my case, this gave +5 fps.
