Own your things don’t let them own you!
Own your possession don’t let them own you. This is something I heard a lot when I was younger but never really took the time to really understand what it meant. Later after making many mistakes with my purchases it finally sunk in. Now I have to make sure that I am making wise purchases to ensure that I maximize the enjoyment I get from my ownership of those same things. These days I set specific goals that I have to reach before allowing myself to make the purchase. Those goals always have steps in them that would cover any monetary commitments again ensuring there is no regret after making the purchase.
