Chemical Propulsion Laboratory Develops Prototype Three-Axis Clinostat for Biological Research

As a side project, the Chemical Propulsion Laboratory (CPL) has successfully built a prototype three-axis clinostat machine for biological experiments. This project was undertaken in collaboration with colleagues at the Biological Science Institute of UnB (University of Brasília).
The innovative machine features three independent rotations, enabling programmable gravitational field distribution for a variety of biological studies. Constructed with high-quality, readily available components, the clinostat facilitates long-term experiments with a controlled environment for the payload. Real-time monitoring, cloud data storage, and remote operation capabilities further enhance its functionality.
This project is generously funded by the Research Support Foundation of the Federal District (FAPDF).
