Mozart – Lacrimosa
Thalberg's interpretation of Lacrimosa is a marvel of unparalleled beauty and unmatched artistry. Not only does it truly capture the spirit of this famous part of Mozart's Requiem, it also adds its own personal touch and spirit. I put all my heart, time and energy in learning and performing it and hope you'll enjoy.
Mozart only wrote the first eight bars of this movement before his untimely death. It was completed by his student and assistant Franz Xaver Süssmayr, who admirably captured the essence of Mozart's style and vision in finishing the work.
