Bogudonia is a charming fishing village (today a district) of Taganrog on the shores of the Sea of Azov. Founded in the 19th century as a fishing cooperative, the village expanded over time, turning into a veritable labyrinth of paths, making it difficult to navigate, much less find someone. The main occupation of Bogudonia's residents was fishing, often accompanied by poaching and all the crime that entails. Even today, when fishing has virtually ceased and the fish factory ceased to exist, visiting the village can be unsafe, although tours are still available. I walked the winding paths of Bogudonia and soaked up its atmosphere.
