Spookey Ruben - I recorded "SAVE YOUR TEARS" at
I recorded a cover of "Save Your Tears" by THE WEEKND at Tony's Music Box, legendary music store in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. https://www.tonysmusicbox.ca/
Tony George opened Tony's Music Box Ltd. in 1975, along side his wife Rosemarie. They worked as a team until illness forced Rosemarie to step away in 1998. Tony stepped away in the mid 2000's leaving his son, Michael, to carry on serving the music community along with a group of misfits who offer a shopping experience that is uniquely Tony's.
Tony, the founder and patriarch of the business passed away in July 2022. He loved the business, the community, and the opportunity to interact with customers and suppliers alike.

Iconic pop weirdo / filmmaker / Indie-cult favorite Spookey Ruben stunned the 'Alternative Music’ scene w/ his hyper-inventive kaleidoscopic debut album "Modes of Transportation Vol. 1” (©1995 TVT Records ) - music critics praising it as the 'Pet Sounds of the 90s’ - gained lots of airtime on Muchmusic / MTV, followed by a row of successes in Japan and Europe. A Canadian artist of many hats — Some may remember him from his early days in the progressive hardcore band Transilience, his off-the-wall art shows OR from his self-directed eye-popping DIZZY PLAYGROUND Television series (exclaim!/Aux TV) feat. artists such as Ariel Pink, The Sea and Cake, Feist, Voivod, — has been cited as an influence by a panoply of indie pop mainstays, including Owen Pallett (Arcade Fire), Esthero and Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie).
