Born in the Queue was written as a satirical take on the British public's dedication to the monarchy. This song takes cues from British Political Punk anthems that came before, most notably 'God Save the Queen' by The Sex Pistols.
I dunno about you
But I was born in a daze
I dunno about you
But we were born under a reign
Oh I dunno about you
But I tell you what I’m gonna do
Hey there baby
Were you born in the Queue?
(born born born)
Were you born in the queue?
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
Whatcha’ gonna do
When they’re coming after you?
Are you gonna tell them
You were born in a queue?
I dunno about you
But I was born for a fee
I dunno about you
But I was born under monarchy
Oh I dunno about you
But I tell you what has got on my mind
A little bit of regicide
Were you born in the queue?
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
Whatcha’ gonna do
When they’re coming after you?
Are you gonna tell them
You were born in a queue?
(Ah ah ah ah)
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
(knocked down in the queue)
Born in the queue
When they’re coming after you?
Are you gonna tell them
You were born in a queue?
