Is Kurama Inside Himawari?

Was Himawari's tailed beast an asspull? With the recent chapter of boruto, we see himawari crouching down in front of a nine tail fox who we all know as kurama.
The problem is that this is NOT kurama. This seems to be a new being that manifested inside himawari due to her being the daughter of the nine tails Jinchuriki, Naruto. My theory is because naruto having kurama's chakra inside him, he was able to pass it down through an offspring.
Is this an ass pull? I don't think so. Remember naruto's first time meeting kurama was at the age of 12, smiliar to himawari's age. Himawari doesn't have much screentime in the manga but when she does, it has been hinted at her possesing such power. What do you guys think?
