Children's Closet - How to Organize It
Here's how I organized my two children's main closet.
My children are 6 and 4 years old at the time of the video, so obviously, if you're different ages, the necessary configurations will be different. But this is a good system (which works very well for me) for having everything we need in a limited, reasonable space. Furthermore:
each child has their own personal closet (which I think is important. Different children have different needs, even if they're the same sex, and above all, they can develop different "organization" patterns and care deeply about their belongings)
having everything in one place (without having to go to different places to get dressed or remember where everything is)
having a minimum of scalability for future purchases (there are so many items you can fit in each drawer with this system)
separating light items from heavy items
teaching the child to "help themselves" so they can become independent
teaching the child that everything has a place (and therefore helping you tidy up and put things back)
it's simple enough even for the littlest ones. Just three drawers and an easy-to-remember system
helping mom and dad manage clothes during the week when you're rushing around in the morning
avoiding having clothes that get ruined or torn apart when you take them out
being able to see all the clothes at a glance
