A Load Order Editor / Mod Manager for Left4Dead2. (Yes you can use it while the game is running)
Load Order Editor: https://www.mediafire.com/file/54zpje...
The purpose of this program is to organize your mods in the order of your choosing. Left 4 Dead normally will sort items based on the download date causing certain mods to get overwritten. This allows you to take control from L4D and put it in your hands, sorting the mods how you like. This can save a ton of memory (RAM) if your mods are sorted correctly, fixing crashes or conflicts between mods.
To Download and Use New Mods:
Workshop:
Make sure addonslist is Read-Only
Launch L4D and let it complete the addons loading cycle
AFTER its done, set addonslist to normal in Macro
Download mod from workshop and let steam finish the process
Reload addonlist (it will try to automatically set it back to Read-Only when loading)
Your new mod will be at the bottom of the list, you're now good to go
Manual/ThirdParty:
Download file and put it into addons
Add it via the program (either jpg or vpk, just needs the name)
Save and you're good.
New Features 1.3:
Fixed the image bug in "Load Images"
Improved load times
Auto-Fetch is ON by default now
1.31:
Fixed highlights, they will now save with the items name instead of the index so proper highlighting can be applied. (if you've used L4D-LOE before it will automatically delete any previously store highlight data as it will be incompatible with this update)
Auto Backup of Addonlist (saves as "addonlist.txt.bak" and happens every time you load/reload the list)
Removed, "To Normal" & "To Read-Only" for conversion macros as it is useless.
1.32:
Added mod names to make locating mods easy.
UI reshuffle for better read-ability, accommodating the name feature.
UnZip to addons
Move To: Top/Bottom
Open addons folder in Explorer
Patch Backup so it happens only when loading (prevents accidental overwrites)
Patch Move Down/Up multi-select glitch
Improved load times.
Planned features:
--- (not done) ---
Save list as profile (to allow different mod configurations)
Advanced color picking for highlights
Converting sections of mods to workshop/local
Remove Mod (locally)
Possible VPK merging w/ conflict resolution?
